Stephanie Stucky Farewell

Today, we gather with hearts that are both grateful and a little bittersweet as we celebrate Stephanie and thank her for 15 remarkable years of dedicated service to the Sandhills Region. While we are excited for the next chapter in her journey, we know that saying goodbye to someone who has given so much of herself is never easy.

Over the past 15 years, Stephanie has been the definition of a committed, diligent, and driven professional. She has served our school districts with unwavering dedication, always putting leaders, educators, and the needs of our communities first. Her work has reflected the very best of public service, she has been reliable, conscientious, thorough, and accountable in everything she has undertaken.

What has made Stephanie truly exceptional, however, is not just what she accomplished, but how she accomplished it. She has always preferred to work quietly behind the scenes. She never sought recognition or applause. Instead, she focused on doing the work and doing it well. Those of us who have had the privilege of working alongside her know that many of the successes we celebrate today would never have happened without her steady hand, thoughtful guidance, and tireless effort. She has been the person making sure every detail was covered, every challenge was met, and every opportunity was seized.

Stephanie has been passionate about the success of every school district throughout the Sandhills. She has remained engaged, proactive, and incredibly resourceful, always looking for ways to strengthen partnerships, solve problems, and help others succeed. Her results-oriented approach has left a lasting impact on this region, and her influence can be seen in countless initiatives, relationships, and achievements that will continue to benefit our region long after today.

Stephanie, while your position has a new occupant, your shoes will be impossible to fill. Your legacy is not measured simply by the years you served, but by the people you encouraged, the leaders you supported, the educators whose lives were made better through your work, and the trust you built across this region.

As you leave the Sandhills, know that you take with you not only our admiration, but also our deepest gratitude. Thank you for your leadership, your friendship, your humility, and your unwavering devotion to the Sandhills Region and communities you have faithfully served for the past 15 years.

On behalf of everyone whose lives and work have been touched by your dedication, thank you for making the Sandhills a better place. We wish you every happiness and success in the exciting journey ahead. Though you may be leaving the Sandhills, your impact here will remain for many years to come.

Congratulations, Stephanie. We will miss you, we will always appreciate you, and we will never forget the difference you have made.
