Fayetteville, NC – The Sandhills Regional Education Consortium (SREC) proudly announced the overwhelming success of its first-ever Mental Health Symposium, held this month in the Sandhills region. The sold-out event brought together mental health leaders, educators, and community stakeholders for a powerful day of professional learning, networking, and collaboration.
With the generous support of dedicated sponsors and vendors, and the expertise of world-class presenters, the symposium created a dynamic space for addressing mental health in schools and communities. Participants engaged in timely conversations and explored strategies to promote sustainable, student-centered mental health practices across the region.
“The energy and commitment in the room were inspiring,” said Dr. Ron Hargrave, Executive Director of SREC. “This event affirmed the critical importance of investing in the mental health of our students and educators.”
Building on this momentum, SREC is already planning for its next event. Details about the 2026 SREC Mental Health Symposium will be announced soon.
